Error Propagation in Laminar Flow Calculations

Laminar boundary layers are highly sensitive. When analyzing external flows around complex bluff bodies, the viscous forces acting within the thin boundary layer adjacent to the surface dictate the detachment coordinates of the fluid stream. This separation point governs total pressure drag.
