Step 1: Pair the sensor
Unlike Garmin, Wahoo configuration happens mostly in the ELEMNT companion app on your phone, then syncs to the head unit.

Step 2: Choose ANT+ or BLE

Step 3: Configure data pages
Wahoo organizes metrics into Pages that you design in the companion app.
- In the app, open Profile → Pages.

- Save. The head unit now shows your current zone as a data field and can alert you when you drift outside a target band.
The zone boundaries follow the standard percentages of FTP. For example, zone 2 endurance sits at 56–75% of FTP, while zone 5 VO2-max is 106–120%.
Troubleshooting
Sensor pairs but shows zero watts
- Confirm the sensor is awake (LED active) and the crank is turning.
- Check that you paired the Power profile, not just Cadence.
- Inspect the sensor's battery — below 20%, transmission weakens and readings can stall.
Head unit freezes during pairing
- Force-quit the companion app, restart the head unit (hold the power button), and retry.
- Remove stale sensors from the app's list before adding new ones.
Data drops on rough roads
Vibration can momentarily interrupt ANT+ reception on any head unit. Reposition the sensor closer to the Wahoo's receiver, and ensure the mount is tight.
